Oil seals worn.

Fertilizer leaks at opener when machine stopped.

Check valve malfunctioning.

Repair or replace check valve.

Excessive cleanout of main strainer required or type of fertilizer used, plugs screen.

Main and row strainer mesh too fine.

Use courser mesh screens. See STRAINER MAINTENANCE in Liquid Fertilizer-Piston Pump section.

Fertilizer is dirty or crystallized.

Install finer mesh strainer on nurse tank.

Liquid fertilizer tank will not fill.

Drip line or cap fitting plugged.

CAUTION! Do not service if system is under pressure. Relieve pressure through fill line.

Clean. See CLEANING LIQUID FERTILIZER TANK LID FITTINGS AND DRIP LINE HOSES in Service and Adjustments section.

Fertilizer manifold pulsates or shakes.

Incorrect orifice or nozzle used.

Install correct orifice or nozzle. Install gauge to monitor system pressure.

Main and/or row strainer plugged.

Clean strainer. Install strainer on nurse tank.
