Quik-Fill™ Liquid Fertilizer Attachment

The Quik-Fill ™ system allows liquid tanks to be filled from one accessible point on machine.

causym CAUTION: Chemicals used in agricultural applications such as fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, pesticides, rodenticides, and fertilizers can be harmful to your health or the environment. Always follow all label directions for effective, safe, and legal use of agricultural chemicals. Check all valves, fittings, hose clamps, plugs, and caps for tightness and soundness before adding chemical or fertilizer to the system. Check system at regular intervals and replace pipe and hoses when worn, cracked, or leaking.

IMPORTANT: Avoid tank rupture from excessive pressure. Shut off nurse tank pump as soon as tank is full.

To fill liquid fertilizer tank, proceed as follows:

NOTE: If shut-off valve lever is hard to operate, proceed as follows:

Internal O-rings located in the valve prevent valve leakage. The O-ring preload is adjustable to allow both leak-free operation and easy lever operation. Adjust four housing cap screws evenly until lever moves smoothly and seals do not leak. Avoid O-ring damage. Do not overtighten handle bolt.

1. Close pump shut-off valve (A).

2. Close Quik-Fill™ valve (B) and remove dust cover from quick attach coupler.

IMPORTANT: The recommended nurse tank pump is no larger than a 40 mm (1-1/2 in.) centrifugal pump with a 2.2 kW (3 to 5 hp) gasoline engine. A 50 mm (2 in.) centrifugal pump with a 3.7 to 5.5 kW (5 to 7-1/2 hp) gasoline engine must be run at half throttle. A 75 mm (3 in.) centrifugal pump is not recommended. Larger pumps exceed the system pressure limit, resulting in damage to liquid tank. Signs of excessive pressure are tank swelling and seal leakage at tank cap and bottom fittings.

3. Secure nurse tank hose to quick-attach coupler.

4. Open shut-off valve (B).

5. Open tank valve (C).

6. After fertilizer tank has been filled, shut off pump engine on nurse tank, close shut-off valve (B), and close valve on nurse tank.

7. Remove nurse tank hose from machine.

8. Open pump valve (A).
