Bleeding Trapped Air from Cylinders

Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin causing
serious injury. Relieve pressure before disconnecting hydraulic or
other lines. Tighten all connections before applying pressure. Keep
hands and body away from pinholes and nozzles which eject fluids under
high pressure. use a piece of cardboard or paper to search for leaks.
Do not use your hand.If ANY fluid is injected into the
skin, it must be surgically removed within a few hours by a doctor
familiar with this type injury or gangrene may result.

Attach cylinder BASE ENDS to linkage, ports up. Support cylinder
on wooden blocks, so that rod ends are higher than base ends, and
to prevent rod from contacting machine.

Remove protective caps on hoses and cylinders; then assemble
and install hoses to cylinders. See Hydraulic Hose Diagrams in this
section.

Connect hoses to tractor. Cycle cylinders several times to
bleed trapped air from lines.

Attach rod ends to linkage.

Cycle machine several times to check cylinder function; then
check tractor oil level. Add, if necessary.
