Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin causing serious injury. Relieve pressure before disconnecting hydraulic or other lines. Tighten all connections before applying pressure. Keep hands and body away from pinholes and nozzles which eject fluids under high pressure. use a piece of cardboard or paper to search for leaks. Do not use your hand.

If ANY fluid is injected into the skin, it must be surgically removed within a few hours by a doctor familiar with this type injury or gangrene may result.

  1. Attach cylinder BASE ENDS to linkage, ports up. Support cylinder on wooden blocks, so that rod ends are higher than base ends, and to prevent rod from contacting machine.

  2. Remove protective caps on hoses and cylinders; then assemble and install hoses to cylinders. See Hydraulic Hose Diagrams in this section.

  3. Connect hoses to tractor. Cycle cylinders several times to bleed trapped air from lines.

  4. Attach rod ends to linkage.

  5. Cycle machine several times to check cylinder function; then check tractor oil level. Add, if necessary.
