Use recommended size tractor. See Preparing the Tractor section.

Operate at a ground speed between 6-10 km/h (4-6 mph).

ALWAYS raise machine out of ground when making sharp turns.

ALWAYS raise machine out of ground before backing up.

Start moving forward before lowering machine to ground.

Adjust openers individually to equalize seed depth. See ADJUSTING
OPENERS in this section.

Turn feed shaft, before adding seed. If treated seed is used,
turn shaft whenever machine has been standing for an hour or longer.

Handle and apply chemically treated seeds according to manufacturer's
recommendations.

Check tire pressure before seeding. See INFLATING TIRES in Preparing
the Machine section.
