A - Idler

E - Front 17-Tooth Sprocket

A half-speed drive is recommended for LOW seeding of crops such as rape, sunflowers and sorghum.

  1. Loosen idler (A). Separate chain (B) at two master links and remove short length of chain. Remove spacer (C).

  2. Slide rear 34-tooth sprocket (D) against lock collar to align with front 17-tooth sprocket (E). Install spacer (C) on the outside of sprocket.

  3. Install chain (B) around 17-tooth sprocket (E) and rear 34-tooth sprocket (D).

  4. Remove nut from idler. Remove spacer and gear. Install spacer THEN gear so idler gear aligns with 17-tooth and 34-tooth sprockets. Install nut and properly tension chain.

  5. NOTE: 6.1 m (20 ft) machine has a double drive. Sprockets and chains will be affected on both ends of machine.

    6.1 m (20 ft) Machine: Repeat procedure for other end of machine.
