Assembled
A - Flat Surfaces, Aligned
B - New Handle
C - Gearbox
D - Cutout
Infrequent or improper lubrication causes “binding”
of moving parts within the machine. This “binding” can
cause the shear points to fail, preventing breakage of machine parts.
Other common causes of binding include compaction of field residue
on row unit drives, jammed or misaligned seed meters.
If meter handle breaks; remove broken pieces, align flat surfaces
(A) and insert new handle (B) through gearbox (C) until handle snaps
into groove on shaft. Gearbox must seat into cutout (D).
