Fertilizer is dirty or crystallized.

Install finer mesh strainer on nurse tank.

Liquid fertilizer tank does not fill.

Drip line or fitting plugged.

CAUTION: Avoid personal injury. Do not service if system is under pressure. Relieve pressure through tank cap spring loaded vent. Do not remove cap if system is under pressure.

Clean. See CLEAN LIQUID FERTILIZER TANK LID FITTINGS AND DRIP LINE HOSES in Service and Adjustments section.

Fertilizer manifold pulsates or shakes.

Incorrect in-line orifice or nozzle used.

Install correct in-line orifice or nozzle. Install gauge to monitor system pressure to verify that it is between 103—621 kPa (1.0—6.2 bar) (15—90 psi). If high, then use larger in-line orifice or decrease travel speed.

 

Main row strainer plugged.

Clean strainer. Install strainer on nurse tank.

Fertilizer leaks at opener when machine stopped.

14 kPa (0.1 bar) (2 psi) check valve stuck open or leaking.

Clean or replace check valve.
