Inspect seed tubes. Ensure that seed tubes are hooked properly in unit shank.

Closing wheels leave severe imprint in soil.

Excessive closing wheel down force.

Decrease closing wheel down force.

Closing wheels not firming soil around seed.

Insufficient closing wheel down force.

Increase closing wheel down force.

Closing wheel running on top of seed furrow.

Improper centering.

Align.

Closing wheels not applying equal force.

Closing wheel frame not level.

Level closing wheel frame.

Drive chain consistently falls off.

Chain too long.

Remove links as needed.

 

Chain links stiff.

Oil or replace chain.

 

Sprockets misaligned.

Align sprockets.

Monitor does not count seeds.

Dirt or debris has collected in seed tube or on sensor.

Clean seed tube and sensor with cleaning brush.
