The furrower can be equipped with smooth or cut-out edges on the leading edge blade. Smooth edged blades are recommended in dry soil or cloddy conditions. Cut-out blades are recommended in reduced tillage conditions with surface residue.

NOTE: Install left-hand furrowers on left-hand side and right-hand furrowers on right-hand side.

A - Cap Screws

B - Cap Screw

C - Hole, V-Shaped Profile

D - Hole, Flatter Profile

Use cap screws (A) to adjust scrapers so they lightly contact furrower blades.

Blade pitch affects lateral displacement, width of area cleared and soil profile. To obtain a sharper V shaped soil profile, install cap screw (B) in hole (C). To obtain a flatter soil profile, place cap screw in hole (D).

The height affects width and depth of area cleared. To adjust height of furrower blades, raise, and turn adjustment knob on tillage support bracket.

Tillage support bracket has a scale and pointer to help adjust all furrowers evenly.

For most conditions, adjust furrower so it lightly contacts soil surface when planting unit is in planting position.
