Setup Using No Mast

No pin or third link connection is installed between the planter and tractor. When raised, the planter can pivot on the bottom two 3 point pins as the planter encounters uneven ground. Only used with lift assist wheels.1720 16 row machines with lift assist wheels will not use the center mast.
All other integral machines will not use the center mast when equipped with lift assist wheels AND gauge wheels are mounted on FRONT of frame.
A quick coupler is required when machine is equipped with lift assist wheels. Quick coupler functions as a pivoting mast.
