Hitch Controlled Lift Assist Wheels on 8000 Series Row-Crop Tractors (Non CCS Machines Only)

IMPORTANT: This attaching method is not compatible with 1720 CCS integral planters. Hitch controlled lift assist is only compatible with machines with single acting lift assist cylinders.

IMPORTANT: Tractor must be equipped with lift assist wheel hitch control components (See instructions A67428).

Hoses can be pinched or cut when raising or lowering machine. Move all hoses clear of any pinch points.

Machine must be leveled before adjusting single lever control attachment.

NOTE: This system allows the lift assist wheels to operate by oil flow from the hitch.

The markers can be connected to the lift system for automatic operation.

This lift assist wheel-hitch control system can only be installed on the following machines:

• Machines with drive gauge wheels mounted to the rear.
• Machines equipped with a pivoting center mast.
• Machines equipped with a rigid mast with top pin removed (cannot be used on 12-row 56 cm [22 in.] machines).
• Machines equipped with single acting lift assist cylinders only.

Lift assist wheel-hitch control attachment allows the machine to be raised and lowered with the rockshaft control lever. Lift assist cylinders are single acting with this system, the lift assist wheels remain in contact with the ground at all times.
