IMPORTANT: DO NOT put SCV lever into “Float” when raising and lowering. The correct procedure for raising and lowering is to POWER completely UP or DOWN.

A - SCV Dedicated To Marker Lift

B - Marker Alternating Valve

Independent control allows markers to be operated independent of machine lift system. Requires a separate tractor SCV dedicated to marker lift (A).

When marker SCV lever is moved rearward, marker raises. When it is moved forward marker lowers. Markers operates alternately each time lever is cycled fully to both raise and lower marker.

A marker alternating valve (B), automatically shifts oil flow so opposite marker can be lowered each time lever is moved from marker-lower to marker-raise position (even when lever is moved only briefly). In this way the following additional marker functions are possible:

  • One marker can be raised partially (to clear an obstacle), then lowered again by cycling lever twice, quickly (without actually moving markers), until marker function returns to same marker.
  • Both markers can be lowered (as when starting in the middle of a field) by lowering one marker, then quickly cycling lever (without raising that marker) so second marker lowers.
