Auxiliary Hydraulic Attachment Operation

Remote hydraulic outlet at rear of planter for auxiliary hydraulic equipment operation.

Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin causing serious injury. Avoid the hazard by relieving pressure before disconnecting hydraulic or other lines. Tighten all connections before applying pressure. Search for leaks with a piece of cardboard. Protect hands and body from high pressure fluids.

Hydraulic hoses can fail due to physical damage, kinks, age, and exposure. Check hoses regularly. Replace damaged hoses.

IMPORTANT: All hydraulic couplers must be clear of debris, dust, and sand. Use protective caps on fluid openings until ready to make connection. Foreign material can damage the hydraulic system.

Hydraulic Coupling Instructions

To connect couplers:

  1. Lower planter and position tractor SCV to forward (retract) detent (continuous flow position)
  2. Switch fan control switch (B) to OFF (down) position
  3. Connect hydraulic couplers (A)
  4. Pull hydraulic valve knob (C) to enable oil flow

To disconnect couplers:

  1. Push hydraulic valve knob (C) to disable oil flow
  2. Disconnect hydraulic couplers (A)
  3. Turn fan control switch (B) to ON (up) position
  4. Reposition tractor SCV to “Neutral” position
