CAUTION: Hydraulic hoses can fail due to physical damage, kinks, age, and exposure. Check hoses regularly. Replace damaged hoses.

IMPORTANT: Vacuum and Variable Rate Drive RETURN hoses, with special tip, MUST be connected to tractor EXTEND port. Avoid damaging pressure spikes; shut vacuum motor and variable rate drive off by placing SCV lever in “Float” position.

16R Non-Lift Assist Wheel planters, connect the wing lift (gullwing) pressure hose to the hitch port, or an unused SCV. SCV must be placed in “Float” position.

7000 and 8000 Series Tractors:

A diverter valve is available to connect independent markers and wing fold on one SCV.

SeedStar™ system is used to control variable rate drive (if equipped).

1 Case drain hose MUST be attached PRIOR to any hose being connected.
2 For single lever control of lift assist and hitch, see specific procedures in this section.
3 1720 CCS machines lift assist wheels must not be connected to hitch.
4 With two or more vacuum motors connected to a single tractor SCV, external planter flow control valves must be used to control vacuum level.
5 If planter is not equipped with independent markers or vacuum, variable rate drive can be moved from power beyond to an SCV.
