A - Tractor Center Link
B - Planting Unit
C - Parallel Arms
Drive tractor and machine onto level ground.
-
IMPORTANT: The tractor hitch must NEVER carry any of the machine
frame weight when the machine is down in PLANTING position. When the
machine is down, essentially the welded hitch mast leans forward against
the quick coupler. The tractor lift links must be adjusted long enough
to ensure that the hitch never carries any of the machine frame weight,
but short enough to ensure that the machine welded mast will not touch
the quick coupler when machine is raised and transported over uneven
terrain.
Level frame front-to-rear with tractor center link (A).
-
Check to be sure planting units (B) are parallel with ground.
Adjust center link and/or drive-gauge wheels as needed.
-
When planting, parallel arms (C) should be parallel or slightly
upward toward planter frame.
Periodically check machine to be certain planting units are
running level.
