Setup Using Pivoting Center Mast

IMPORTANT: All the following conditions must be met when using a pivoting center mast.

  • A tractor equipped with a Quick-Coupler.
  • A machine equipped with lift-assist wheels.
  • A machine with the drive-gauge wheels mounted to rear of the main frame.

Provides a pivoting, movable top link between the planter and the tractor. When raised the planter can pivot on the bottom two 3 point pins as the planter encounters uneven ground.

Category 3 Or 3N Configuration

A - Cotter Pin, Drilled Pin and Spacer

When attaching to a pivoting center mast with a Category 2 Hitch with Quick-Coupler, install cotter pin, drilled pin and spacer (A).

When attaching to a pivoting center mast with a Category 3 or 3N Quick-Coupler, remove cotter pin, drilled pin and spacer (A).

See the tractor operator's manual for instructions on connecting the tractor Quick-Coupler to the machine hitch pins.

Secure hitch pins with cotter pins and Quick-Lock pins.
