Machine must be equipped with no center mast. SCV 1 is used to control both tractor hitch and lift assist wheels. The following conditions must be true:

• Lift assist cylinders (A) must be double-acting. If machine was set up as a no-mast integral machine using single acting lift assist cylinders, machine would not raise and lower level. Tractor hitch carries about 70 percent of machine weight. Front of machine would always raise last and lower first, resulting in seed left on top of ground.
• Machine must have no center mast. Frame is kept level by adjusting closed length of lift assist cylinders.
• 8030, 8R tractors require RE285090 Hitch Auxiliary Raise Kit.
• Hitch Control Unit (HCU) (if tractor is so equipped) must be disabled when using single-lever control. A special 9-pin harness (B) that disables 8000 - 8R Series Tractor Hitch Control Unit must be installed. This jumper harness is part of BA26232 and connects to a RE58827 9-pin kit (C). This harness loop is tie banded to machine warning light harness to ensure that tractor hitch resumes normal function when machine is not connected.
• Rate of tractor hitch and lift assist raise and lower, must be balanced (to keep the frame level) by adjusting back-to-back one-way flow control valves (E) (contained in BA26232).

Connect lift cylinder hoses (F) to SCV (G) and jumper hose to auxiliary hitch valve port (H).
