Install Proper Drawbar Clevis (Drawbar Hitch Only)

1. IMPORTANT: If tractor has Category (Cat) 4 drawbar, it must be used with a Category 4 clevis on implement. If tractor has Category 5 DC drawbar, it must be used with a Category 5 DC clevis on implement.

   A - Category 4 Clevis

   B - Category 5 Clevis

   C - Clevis Mounting Hardware

   Determine tractor drawbar category. Corresponding clevis (A or B) must be installed on implement. See your John Deere Dealer for additional clevis, if needed.

2. NOTE: Shim washers (B) must be used to remove excess play between clevis and mounting plates.

   A - Cap Screw (2 used Cat 4) (3 used Cat 5)

   B - Shim Washers (as required)

   C - Flat Washer (2 used Cat 4) (3 used Cat 5)

   D - Hex Nut (2 used Cat 4) (3 used Cat 5)

   Install correct drawbar clevis using cap screw (A), shim washers (B), flat washer (C) and hex nut (D).

3. Tighten cap screws and nuts to specification.

4. Perform “Level the Machine” procedure to check implement hitch height.
