IMPORTANT: To avoid damage to knockout wheel, Never operate planter drives without seed bowls installed. Damage occurs on knockout wheel from contact with rotating BrushBelt™.

Knockout Wheel Engaged With Seed Bowl

A - Seed Knockout Wheel

The seed knockout wheel (A) is used to ensure that seeds are fully released from seed cell and properly placed in BrushBelt™ seed delivery system. Wheel projections engage seed cell holes, forcing all seeds and foreign material to be ejected.

If seed skips occur, inspect knockout wheel for wear. Verify that wheel is fully engaged with each hole in the seed bowl. Check knockout wheel engagement by removing seed meter assembly and view through opening for BrushBelt™ as shown.
