Initial Field Check

1. Start tractor.

2. Select primary Menu button >> Air Cart button >> Main softkey.

3. Start fan.

4. Drive forward and lower openers into soil at same time.

5. IMPORTANT: To prevent meter drive overload, always activate fan before meter engagement. Meter drives are protected by a hydraulic pressure limiter. If meter overloads with product when fan is inactive, meter drive is disengaged.

   Do not ignore “Low Fan Speed Detected” warning. Stop tractor and verify that fan is operational before meter engagement.

   Activate meters and seed or fertilize a short distance.

6. IMPORTANT: Avoid fan motor damage. Always move SCV lever to “Float” position to shut off fan. Never place SCV lever into “Neutral” to shut off fan.

   Leave openers in the ground and turn off meters. Allow hoses to empty and turn off fan. Stop and shut off tractor.

7. CAUTION: To prevent serious injury or death from unexpected machine movement, always shift the transmission to “Park” and set the brakes before leaving the tractor.

   Check product depth behind several openers on each frame section.

8. Adjust depth control to maintain chosen depth. Refer to seeding equipment operator's manual for procedure.
