Troubleshoot Cart Controller

Tank level shown on display is incorrect.

Bin level sensor malfunction.

Verify cart harness plugged into sensor.

Faulty bin level sensor.

Put sensor in closed position and check for continuity. Put sensor in open position and verify open circuit.

Erratic tire speed reading while stationary.

Improper sensor alignment.

Check and adjust sensor. (See Service section.)

 

Faulty sensor.

Replace tire speed sensor.

No tire speed while moving.

Incorrect Setup.

Perform tire speed calibration. (See CONFIGURE TIRE SPEED SENSOR in Monitor Setup for Air Cart section.)

 

Improper sensor alignment.

Check and adjust sensor. (See Service section.)

 

Damaged sensor or wiring.

Verify tire sensor is connected to cart harness. Inspect for damage and repair.

No application rate.

Meters inactive.

Turn meters ON.

 

Incorrect Setup.

No meter displacement defined. (See Monitor Setup for Air Cart section.)

 

Damaged sensor or wiring.

Verify motor speed sensor is connected to cart harness. Inspect for damage and repair.

Incorrect meter revolution during calibration.

Disconnected or damaged wiring.

Inspect, connect, or repair wiring for meter and tire speed sensors.

 

No sensor signal.

Replace failed sensor. (See Service section.)

Tank indicator lights on air cart do not show tank full.

Burned out bulb.

Replace light bulb.

 

Cart movement sensed.

Cart must be stationary for lights to flash when tank is full.

 

Disconnected or damaged wiring.

Inspect, connect, or repair wiring for lights and sensors.

 

No sensor signal.

Replace failed sensor.

Fan speed indicator lights do not show fan speed.

Burned out bulb.

Replace light bulb.

 

Disconnected or damaged wiring.

Inspect, connect, or repair wiring for both lights and sensors.

 

No sensor signal.

Replace failed sensor.

Incorrect product application rate displayed.

Disconnected or damaged wiring.

Inspect, connect, or repair wiring for motor and tire speed sensors.

 

Tire speed sensors out of adjustment.

Check and adjust sensor gap. (See Service section.)

 

No sensor signal.

Replace failed sensor. (See Service section.)

 

Incorrect values entered during set up.

Review and correct set-up entries.

Inaccurate area or no area displayed.

Excessive overlap while seeding.

Account for overlap. (See CONFIGURE SEEDING TOOL in Monitor Setup for Air Cart section.)

 

Disconnected or damaged wiring on tire speed sensor.

Inspect, connect, or repair wiring.

 

Tire speed sensor out of adjustment.

Check and adjust sensor gap. (See Service section.)

 

No sensor signal.

Replace failed sensor.

 

Incorrect width values entered at set up.

Review and correct set up entries.

 

Incorrect tire speed value entered.

(See CONFIGURE TIRE SPEED SENSOR in Monitor Setup for Air Cart section.)

 

Remote switch out of adjustment.

Adjust switch so it is open when tool is raised from ground and closed when tool is lowered into ground. (See CONFIGURE START AND STOP HEIGHT in Monitor Setup for Air Cart section.)

 

Faulty remote seeder switch.

Replace switch.

Meters do not shut off during calibration.

Incorrect Air System setup.

Completely configure cart. (See Monitor Setup for Air Cart section.)

Meter displacement lower than expected.

Obstruction in meter or tank.

Check product passages for obstructions.

 

One or both half-width disconnects not fully open.

Verify that both half-width disconnects are fully open.

 

Slide or manifold bypass openings plugged.

Clean openings.

 

Incorrect air system setup.

See Monitor Setup for Air cart Section.

Cannot calibrate meter.

Obstruction in meter or tank.

Check product passages for obstructions.
