Determine Tractor Hydraulic Requirements

  1. N48100
    N48100-UN-18DEC01

    With Electro-Hydraulic SCV Controls

See TRACTOR HYDRAULIC SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS in Specifications section.

  2. If tractor does not have ISO hydraulic couplers, see your John Deere dealer.

Larger tools, more primaries, and double shoot systems use more hydraulic flow. High ground speeds increase the amount of material in the air stream and require more hydraulic flow. Tools with active hydraulic downforce connected directly to SCV require maximum tractor pressure.

IMPORTANT: John Deere 9xxx and 9xxxR Series Scraper Tractors are not compatible with the 1910 Cart and Seeding Tool.

  3. IMPORTANT: Drain port backpressure must be less than 172 kPa (1.72 bar) (25 psi) or fan motor damage occurs.

NOTE: If your John Deere tractor is not equipped with a low-pressure drain connection, order installation kit from your John Deere dealer. See LOW-PRESSURE DRAIN CONNECTION in this section for kit listing.

    9R Standard Hydraulic Connections

    A - Case Drain (Sump)

    B - SCV IV (Retract)

    C - SCV III (Retract)

    D - SCV II (Retract)

    E - SCV I (Retract)

    F - Power Beyond Return

    G - Load Sense

    H - Power Beyond Pressure

    I - SCV I (Extend)

    J - SCV II (Extend)

    K - SCV III (Extend)

    L - SCV IV (Extend)

Tractor must be equipped with a low-pressure drain port (A) for connection of fan motor case drain. Instead of a low-pressure drain, depth control bleed-off hose can be attached to an open SCV, when one is available. This SCV must be placed in “Float” position when operating.

  4. Tractors with power beyond and load sense are recommended to operate meter hydraulic drive.

  5. CAUTION:

    RW55317
    RW55317-UN-28JUN94

    A - Tractor Master Shield

To prevent entanglement with rotating PTO shaft, verify that tractor master shield (A) is always in place. Coming in contact with a rotating PTO shaft can cause severe injury or death.

Consult tractor operator's manual for specific adjustment procedures, tire inflation, wheel spacing, and ballast requirements.
