When to Change Active Meter Segments and Agitators

Meter cartridges (A) are factory assembled according to customer order. Meter rollers are installed on the active runs. Meter covers (B) and soft seals are installed on the inactive runs. (See OPEN OR CLOSE PRODUCT RUNS in this section.)

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage to agitators. Deactivate agitators on inactive runs.

Reconfigure meter cartridge and agitators (C) if meter cartridge is used on a different cart and tool combination or if a different tool configuration is used with current cart. (See AGITATOR INSTALLATION, ACTIVATION, AND DEACTIVATION in this section.) (See HOW TO CHANGE METER ROLLERS in this section.)

If a configuration contains an uneven number of active runs, install the larger number of runs on left-hand side of cartridge (the end with handle). (See ACTIVE METER GUIDE in this section.)
