B - Tire

C - Wheel Bolts

D - Retaining Ring

If cart weaves from side-to-side during transport, verify the following items and correct as necessary:

  • Hitch Brackets: Excessive gap between hitch tube bracket and rear bar.

If gap is found, loosen hardware (A) attaching hitch bracket to rear bar on both sides. Push brackets toward center of tool to remove gap. Align brackets an equal distance from tool centerline. Tighten hardware.

  • Front Caster Wheels: Reversed front-wheel mounting can cause cart to weave.

Single Wheel Caster Assembly

CAUTION: Caster wheel arms are heavy. Use proper lifting equipment, in good working order, to avoid severe injury or death caused by falling caster wheel arm.

IMPORTANT: Traction-type front tires are installed in opposite direction of usual tractor applications.

IMPORTANT: Mounting dish is offset in wheel to align centerline of tire with caster pivot, when casters are in forward travel positions (hubs to the rear). Select correct wheel assembly for right-hand or left-hand application.

IMPORTANT: Dual caster wheels need to be oriented so the leading wheel is toward the center of the machine.

With casters in forward travel positions, verify centerline of tire (B) aligns with caster pivot.

If offset, remove wheel and reverse tire. Install wheel with retaining ring (D) and wheel bolts (C). Torque hardware to specification.

Dual Wheel Caster Assembly

CAUTION: Caster wheel arms are heavy. Use proper lifting equipment, in good working order, to avoid severe injury or death caused by falling caster wheel arm.

IMPORTANT: Traction lugs (A) are installed in opposite direction of usual tractor applications.

Tire rims are offset. Tires are installed as close as possible to caster arm (B). Select correct wheel assembly for right or left-hand application.

Install tires on caster wheel arm with rings (C) and lug bolts. Verify that caster arm pivot is centered between tires. Ensure that inner tire is leading ahead of outer tire. Tighten lug bolts to specification.
