Replace 550 Bushel Tow-Behind Caster Wear Pad

1. IMPORTANT: Do not grease or lubricate wear pad.

   NOTE: Replace pad if worn to minimum thickness.

   Quantities are shown for one wheel assembly.

   A - Backing Plate

   B - Flange Nut, M12

   C - Cap Screw, M12 X 1.70

   D - Spring (2 used)

   E - Pad

   Measure caster brake pad (E) thickness and compare to minimum thickness specification.

2. Fully thread nut (B) onto cap screw (C), with nut flange facing away from cap screw head.

3. NOTE: Clean threaded hole in brake backing plate before inserting cap screw.

   Insert cap screw through slot in caster and turn into threaded hole in backing plate (A).

4. Tighten nut while holding cap screw head. Compress springs to specification for caster brake pad removal.

5. Lift brake pad (E) off of guides and slide out.

6. Install new brake pad.

7. Remove cap screw (C) and nut (B) in reverse order.
