Set Front and Rear Tanks to Empty Simultaneously (kg/hectare)

A70393-UN-16FEB11
Two Tank Example—350 bu.
A - Front Tank, 150 bu.
B - Rear Tank, 200 bu.
To set tanks to empty on an identical product simultaneously,
split the total application rate (kg/hectare) between the tanks and
adjust the meter settings to the proper ratio.
IMPORTANT: Sample chart illustrated. Do not use sample chart
to calibrate machine setting. This non-typical example is based on
the same meter roller used in all tanks. Identify actual meter rollers
on machine and use corresponding charts to calculate ratios and rate
adjustments.
NOTE: Example based on a desired application rate of 60 kg/hectare
with tanks filled to capacity.
FORMULA:
Front Tank (150 bu.) ÷ Combined Tanks (350 bu.) = Front
Tank % (0.429) x Application Rate (60 kg/hectare) = Rate for Front
Tank (25.7 kg/hectare)
Rear Tank (200 bu.) ÷ Combined Tanks (350 bu.) = Rear
Tank % (0.571) x Application Rate (60 kg/hectare) = Rate for Rear
Tank (34.3 kg/hectare)
