Tractors with PowrQuad Plus or AutoQuad II transmissions (version II):
1.
Move range shift lever (A) to neutral.
2.
Start the engine and wait 6-7 seconds. Set reverse drive lever (B) to neutral position. The "N" on the display disappears (or has already disappeared).
3.
Move the reverse drive lever to "forward" or "reverse".
If
no
alarm signal is emitted, the neutral start circuit is functioning properly.
Repeat the test in the other direction of travel.
If an alarm signal is emitted, the cause may be one of the following:
-
the range shift lever is not in neutral. Repeat test.
-
the transmission is in its "come-home" mode ("Come Home" relay is inserted). Repeat test.
-
the neutral start circuit is defective. Have it repaired by your John Deere dealer.
