Select Correct Ground Travel Speed

SYNCROPLUS™ transmission (30 km/h; 18.5 mph):
12 forward gears, 4 reverse gears

Power Reverser transmission (30 km/h; 18.5 mph):
16 forward gears, 16 reverse gears

Power Reverser transmission (40 km/h; 25 mph):
16 forward gears, 16 reverse gears

SYNCROPLUS™ transmission (30 km/h; 18.5 mph):
16 forward gears, 16 reverse gears

PowrQuad transmission (40 km/h; 25 mph)*:
16 forward gears, 16 reverse gears

PowrQuad transmission (40 km/h; 25 mph)*:
24 forward gears, 24 reverse gears
PowrQuad transmission (40 km/h; 25 mph)*:
20 forward gears, 20 reverse gears
PowrQuad transmission (50 km/h; 31 mph):
24 forward gears, 24 reverse gears
PowrQuad transmission (50 km/h; 31 mph):
20 forward gears, 20 reverse gears

* depending on legal requirements the maximum speed may be limited to 35 km/h (21 mph)

 

PowrQuad Plus and AutoQuad II transmissions have the same number of gears and the same travel speeds as the corresponding PowrQuad transmission.

NOTE: Depending on equipment and legal requirements, there may in certain circumstances be only 16 or 12 reverse gears.

The tractor may be equipped with an additional creeper transmission.

Gears should be selected so as to avoid permanent overloading of the engine. Ground travel speeds with engine running at rated speed are shown on the following pages.

Should you wish to determine ground speed travel at other engine speeds, then proceed as follows:

2100 rpm

= Conversion factor

 

The conversion factor multiplied by the ground speed shown in the following table gives the ground travel speed at the desired engine speed.

Example:

Ground travel speed at 2100 rpm according to following table: 6.8 km/h; desired speed: 1400 rpm

1400 rpm


2100 rpm

= 0.67

 

6.8 km/h x 0.67 = 4.5 km/h

Should you wish to determine engine speed at a desired ground travel speed, proceed as follows:

The conversion factor multiplied by the rated speed gives you the desired engine rpm.

Example:

5.0 km/h


6.8 km/h

= 0.74
