Changing Oil In Front-Wheel Drive Final Drives

causym CAUTION: On axles with brake: If final drives are hot, oil is under pressure. Remove drain screws slowly.

1. Turn wheel until drain screw (A) is at the bottom. Remove drain screw and drain oil into a suitable container.

2. Turn the wheel through 90° so that the line marked "Ölstand" is horizontal (see "Service / Every 250 Hours"), and fill with fresh oil at drain screw bore. Oil should be level with screw bore.

3. Reinstall drain screw and tighten to 150 N·m (110 lb-ft).
