Engine protection:

To protect the engine and prevent damage, there is an engine protection program that functions as follows:

The following malfunctions are indicated by a flashing light (see arrow):

Malfunction Effect / Remedy
Fuel temperature too high None
Engine oil pressure too low Engine power is reduced
Fuel filter clogged Change filter.
Other malfunctions See your dealer.

 

The following malfunctions are indicated by a continuously glowing light (see arrow):

Malfunction Effect / Remedy
Fuel temperature too high Engine power is reduced a
Coolant too hot Engine power is reduced a
Engine oil pressure too low Engine power is reduced a
Fault at injection pump Engine power is reduced a
Fuel filter clogged Engine speed is reduced to 1200 rpm. See your dealer.
   
aIf the light comes on regularly and does not go out after a certain period, see your dealer.
