Shifting the Power Shift Transmission
The Power Shift transmission is electronically controlled and provides modulated gear shifts in all forward and reverse gears.
Push gear lever (A) forward to drive forward, and pull the lever to the rear to drive in reverse. The Power Shift transmission can change from forward to reverse and back again without the need to operate the clutch. Use stops (B) to restrict the range of gears available (e.g. when shuttle-shifting with a loader).
There is a problem in transmission system if transmission indicator comes on and/or transmission shifts to neutral. Problems may be caused by:
Riding the clutch pedal
Holding shift lever between neutral and first gear
Attempting to start engine with lever in gear
Operating tractor in temperatures below -10°C (14°F).
Reset transmission by fully engaging clutch pedal and/or moving shift lever to neutral.
Cold-Weather Operation
Cold oil, 0°C (32°F), can affect shifting quality. Below -10°C (14°F), shifting may be delayed along with slow hydraulics and hard steering.
IMPORTANT:
Some gears are blocked for transmission protection at temperatures below -10°C (14°F).
Operator will not have even-numbered shifts for three to four minutes after start-up and transmission gear indicator will flash when temperatures are below -10°C (14°F). Normal operation will return when oil is warmed above this temperature.
Shifting Characteristics
Shifting does not begin until shift lever movement stops. Use shift stops for loader-type shuttle shifting.
