Check Engine Speeds

Warm up engine and use tachometer to check engine speeds. The following guidelines apply:

- mech. injection pump 850-950 rpm 2460-2510 rpm
- electr. injection pump 840-860 rpm 2450-2480 rpm
6810-6910S
- mech. injection pump 850-950 rpm 2250-2300 rpm
- electr. injection pump 840-860 rpm 2240-2270 rpm

 

Have adjustments carried out by your John Deere dealer.

NOTE: On tractors with electronic injection pump, slow idle remains at a higher speed (up to 1060 rpm) until coolant temperature rises to 20°C (68°F).
