1-The red "STOP" light flashes when a serious malfunction occurs (indicator lights 6, 7 or 8 come on). Switch off the engine IMMEDIATELY and determine the cause.
2-The yellow "CAUTION" light flashes when indicator lights 10, 11 or 12 come on, and when the handbrake is applied with the engine running and a gear engaged or the reverse drive lever set to any position other than neutral.
3-This light comes on when the differential lock is engaged.
4-This light comes on when FWD is selected.
5-This light comes on when the rear PTO is selected.
6-This warning light glows when transmission/hydraulic oil temperature is too high.
7-If this warning light glows, transmission/hydraulic oil pressure is too low. See your John Deere dealer immediately.
8-If engine oil pressure warning light glows with engine running, shut off engine and check the level of engine oil.
9-The full beam indicator light will glow whenever the headlights are switched on at full beam.

10-If alternator indicator light glows with engine running, this indicates a defect at alternator. Check alternator cables. If necessary, have alternator checked by your John Deere dealer.
11-If air cleaner indicator light glows with engine running, the air cleaner element must be cleaned or replaced.
12-This light glows when the transmission oil filter is clogged or the oil temperature is too low.
13-This light comes on when the work lights are selected.
14-When the engine starts, this light comes on to indicate that the PTO is already engaged.
NOTE:
If the PTO is already engaged when the engine is started, the PTO will not operate. PTO must be disengaged and then re-engaged before it will start to turn.
Indicator lights 1, 2, 7, 8 and 10 should light up briefly every time the engine is started. They should go out as soon as the engine is running.
