Using Auxiliary Heaters
CAUTION:
Avoid electrical shock or fire. Use a 3-wire, heavy-duty, electrical cord with a minimum 15-amp rating (14 gauge), suitable for outdoor use. Always plug electrical cord into a ground-fault protected, 110-volt outlet.
NOTE:
Auxiliary heaters are used for cold-weather starting.
Auxiliary heaters are available from your John Deere Dealer.
Connect plug of coolant heater (A) and transmission heater to a 110-volt outlet.
At an ambient temperature of -15°C (5°F), the coolant heating process takes approx. 2 hours. Extend the heating period if the ambient temperature is lower.
