Checking the Fuel Filter

If water or sediment deposits have settled in filter, proceed as follows:

NOTE: Disconnect sensor cable first on tractors equipped with a water sensor at the fuel filter.

2. Retighten both screws as soon as water and sediment deposits have drained out.

3. Turn key in main switch to the right to the first switch position so that the fuel transfer pump is operating. Keep the pump running for approx. 20 seconds.

If water was present in fuel filter, use a 1/2-inch square-section key to loosen drain plug (B) under the fuel tank by one turn. After draining off any water and sediment deposits, retighten drain plug until hand-tight.
