Checking the Neutral Start Circuit

Tractors with PowrQuad Plus or AutoQuad Plus transmissions

1. Move range-shift lever (A) to neutral.

2. Move the reverser lever (B) to "forward" or "reverse".

3. Start the engine and wait 6-7 seconds. The "N" display must light up.

4. Depress the clutch and engage any range. Gradually release the clutch pedal. The tractor must NOT start to move. If it does, see your John Deere dealer immediately.

Tractors with AutoPowr

1. Move reverser lever (A) to "forward" or "reverse".

2. Turn key in main switch as far as it will go to the right. The starting motor must NOT turn over. If it does, see your John Deere dealer immediately.

3. Repeat the test in the other direction of travel.
