Indicator lights

1-The light is on with differential lock on.

2-The light is on with front-wheel drive on.

3-The park brake indicator light is on with park brake engaged and engine running.

4-The light is on with rear PTO on. Depending on how the tractor is equipped, an acoustic signal may also sound.

5-This warning light comes on when the transmission/hydraulic oil temperature is too high.

6-This warning light comes on when the transmission/hydraulic oil pressure is too low. See your John Deere dealer.

7-If the engine oil pressure warning light comes on with the engine running, shut off the engine and check the engine oil level.

8-The high beam indicator light is on with high beam headlights on.

9-If the alternator indicator light comes on with the engine running, it indicates an alternator problem. Check the alternator wiring. Have alternator checked by your John Deere dealer, if necessary.

10-If the air cleaner indicator light comes on with the engine running, the air cleaner element must be cleaned or replaced.

11-This light comes on when the transmission/hydraulic oil filter is dirty or the oil temperature is too low.

12-The light is on with work lights on.

13-The turn signal indicator light flashes with turn signals and hazard warning lights on.

14-The trailer turn signal indicator lights flash with turn signals and hazard warning lights on.

Light test: As the engine is started, lights 5, 6, 7, 10 and 11 come on for approx. 1 second. If not, a defective fuse or bulb may be the cause. Replace part.

Once the engine is running the indicator lights must turn off.


Additional indicator light

This light is on when the key switch is moved to the first position to the right. Do not start the engine before the light has turned off.

This light flashes when problems with the fuel system and the engine are present.

NOTE: On tractors equipped with a water-in-fuel sensor, this light flashes when water is present in the fuel filter.


TLS front axle indicator light

This light is on when a problem with the front axle level control is present. Drive with extra care!


Front PTO indicator light

Digital display

On the digital display the travel speed, rear PTO speed, operating hours, coolant temperature and fuel level are displayed.

With rear PTO on, the PTO symbol is displayed. The rear PTO speed is displayed if the tractor is equipped with a PTO speed sensor.


Display of operating hours

When the ignition is turned on, the display shows the number of hours operated by the engine.

C - 10 black bars, Temperature of 40 - 110° C (104 - 230° F)

D - 2 red bars, Temperature of 110 - 120° C (230 - 248° F)

The temperature is represented by 12 bars (A) max.:

1 - 10 bars = normal temperature.

11 (flashing) bars = coolant temperature is high. Reduce the engine load or select a lower gear.

12 (flashing) bars = coolant temperature is very high. Shut off the engine and correct the cause for overheating (low coolant level, dirty radiator or screens).

If no bars are displayed and symbol (B) is flashing, the temperature sensor is defective.


Display of fuel level

The fuel level is represented by 12 bars (A) max.:

12 - 3 bars = fuel is sufficient.

2 bars = reserve area.

1 (flashing) bar = less than 8% of fuel in the fuel tank.

If no bars are displayed and symbol (B) is flashing, the fuel level sensor is defective.
