IMPORTANT: Use oil with a viscosity suitable for the relevant season.

NOTE: Carry out first oil change after first 100 hours of operation. Engine oil must be changed at least once a year.

Drain oil with engine shut off, but with engine oil still warm.

  1. Shut off the engine and remove the key.

  2. Remove drain screw (A).

  3. While crankcase is draining, replace filter element.

  4. Re-install drain screw and tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb.-ft.). Use a new seal ring.

  5. Fill crankcase with fresh oil of proper viscosity at filler neck (B). See section Fuel, Lubricants, Hydraulic Oil and Coolant. Capacity is approx. 13 liters (3.4 U.S.gal.).

  6. Check the oil level. Oil level must be in the upper part of the hatched area on the dipstick. If necessary, top up with oil.

  7. Run engine for a short time and check for leaks at filter base and drain screw.

  8. Shut off the engine.

  9. Check oil level once again. Oil level must not be outside the hatched area on the dipstick.
