Operating Power Take-Offs

CAUTION: Always disengage the PTO when not in use.

CAUTION: High-inertia implements do not stop the moment the PTO control lever is shifted to the disengaged position. Do NOT approach the implement while it is "coasting down". Do not work on the implement until it has stopped.

To switch on the PTO, press switch (A) down and then forward. To switch off the PTO, pull the switch back.

NOTE: If the engine is shut off while the PTO is running and then restarted, the PTO will not re-engage. Even so, indicator lights (B) remain on. Switch off PTO and then restart.

An acoustic alarm warns the operator if he leaves his seat while the PTO is still running.
