A - Cap Screws

IMPORTANT: When installing weights, use appropriate lifting equipment or have the job performed by your John Deere Dealer.

Install weight on wheel and tighten screws (A) to the specified torque.

If additional weights are used, insert the screws into the weight that is already installed. Turn the additional weight until the locating holes are aligned, then bolt it to the existing weight. Drive tractor approx. 100 meters (100 yd) and retighten the screws.

Torques on screws:

• M16 Cap Screws, 310 N·m (230 lb.-ft.)
• M20 Cap Screws, 610 N·m (450 lb.-ft.)

IMPORTANT: Retighten the screws after working 3 hours and again after 10 hours.

Thereafter, check the screws at the same interval as the wheel bolts.
