CAUTION: Engage park and shut off engine. Remove the ignition key to prevent unauthorized operation.

The rear PTO may be operated using different rear PTO stub shafts.

Type 1 / 6 splines at 1000 rpm..............

up to 92 kW

Type 2 / 21 splines at 1000 rpm..............

up to 115 kW

To change the PTO stub shaft, switch off the engine and remove any impurities from the stub shaft.

Use pliers to compress snap ring (A), and remove the PTO stub shaft together with the snap ring.

Before installing the PTO stub shaft, clean it and apply John Deere SD POLYUREA GREASE.

To install, place snap ring (A) in the groove of PTO stub shaft and compress it with pliers, then install the stub shaft in the PTO housing. Make sure snap ring (A) is seated correctly.

With the engine switched off, it must be possible to turn the PTO stub shaft by hand.
