Service procedure

Every 10 hours or daily

After the first 100 hours

Every 250 hours

Every 500 hours

Lights - Check that all lights (including headlights) are functioning properly

     

Fuel system - Drain water and sediment from fuel filter

     

Engine - Remove contaminant from area surrounding the engine

     

Cooling system/air-conditioning system - Clean the radiator and condenser, fins and screens

     

Check brakes

     

Oil level - Check the transmission/hydraulic system

     

Check the engine oil level

     

Cooling system - Check level of coolant

     

Front hitch - Lubricate cylinder and three-point hitch

     

Three-point hitch - Lubricate lift links and rockshaft

     

Front axle - Lubricate pivot bearing

     

Front-wheel drive axle - Lubricate all universal joints including u.j. shaft from transmission to front-wheel drive axle

     

Front-wheel drive axle with TLS - Lubricate hydraulic cylinder

     

Access the diagnostic trouble codes, rectify fault and then delete the diagnostic trouble codes

 

   

Lights - Check that all lights (including headlights) are functioning properly

 

   

Cab mountings - Check torques of attaching screws (see Service - Every 250 Hours)

 

   

Drawbar - Check torques of attaching screws (see Service - Every 250 Hours)

 

   

Front loader - Mounting frame, check torques of attaching screws (see Service - Every 250 Hours)

 

   

Front hitch - Mounting frame, check torque of attaching screws (see Service - Every 250 Hours)

 

   

Front PTO - Have torque of torsion damper attaching screws checked by your John Deere™ dealer.

 

   

Air intake hoses, check for leaks (see Service - Every 250 Hours)

 

   

Hydraulic system - Replace hydraulic oil filter (see Service - Every 750 Hours)

 

   

Transmission - Replace transmission oil filter (see Service - Every 750 Hours)

 

   

Front-wheel drive axle - Final drives without brake, oil change (see Service - Every 1500 Hours or 2 Years)

 

   

Front-wheel drive axle - axle housing, change oil (see Service - Every 1500 Hours or 2 Years).

 

   

Access the diagnostic trouble codes, rectify fault and then delete the diagnostic trouble codes

   

 

Check neutral start circuit

   

 

PTO actuation - Check safety circuit

   

 

Lights - Check settings of headlights

   

 

Load center - Visually inspect and clean

   

 

Fuel system - Drain water and sediment from fuel tank

   

 

Front axle without front-wheel drive - Tighten bolts

   

 

Wheels - Front and rear wheels, check torques of attaching screws

   

 

Wheels - Wheel disk to rim, check torques of attaching screws

   

 

Wheels - Wheel weights, check torques of attaching screws

   

 

Wheels - Dual wheel attachment, check torques of attaching screws (see manufacturer's specifications)

   

 

Cab - Cab mountings, check torque of attaching screws

   

 

Cab - Ground strap, check torque of attaching screws

   

 

Drawbar - Check torques of attaching screws

   

 

Front loader - Mounting frame, check torques of attaching screws

   

 

Front hitch - Mounting frame, check torques of attaching screws

   

 

Check oil level - Front wheel drive axle, axle housing

   

 

Check oil level - Front wheel drive axle, final drives

   

 

Check oil level - Front PTO

   

 

Air intake hoses, check for leaks

   

 

Foot brake, operational check

   

 

Park lock, operational check

   

 

Drawbar - Check all components for wear; check that all components function properly

   

 

Front axle without front-wheel drive - Lubricate the grease fittings

   

 

Lubricate pivoting fenders, and perform operational check

   

 

Rear PTO, lubricate PTO stub shaft support (with pivoting PTO stub shaft)

   

 

Check that all accessible ground cables are secure

     

Engine - Check drive belt for wear (rubbing)

     

Engine - Change engine oil filter

     

Engine - Change engine oil

     

Fuel system - Change fuel filter

     

Lubricate rear axle bearings

     

Change the activated carbon filter, if equipped.
