Checking and Adjusting Toe-In
The ballast of the tractor can influence the set toe-in. If
a front ballast larger than 1150 kg is used permanently, the toe-in
has to be checked, and readjusted if necessary.
Correct toe-in adjustment has a positive effect on driving characteristics
and tire wear.
IMPORTANT: If the tractor is driven continuously with high ballast
weight, it is necessary to check the toe-in before startup. When doing
so, the toe-in has to be determined with total ballast.
NOTE: Prescribed adjustment lies between -1.5 mm and +1.5 mm
(-0.06 in. and +0.06 in.). It is recommended to contact a John Deere™
dealer to have toe-in checked and adjusted.
