Check the Neutral Start Circuit
Tractors with SyncroPlus™ transmission:

Depress the clutch pedal.

Move range-shift lever (A) to neutral position.

Move gear-shift lever (B) to any gear.
-
Turn key in key switch clockwise to end position. The starting
motor must NOT turn over. If it does, see your John Deere™ dealer
immediately.

Repeat the test in all the other gears.
Tractors with PowrReverser™ transmission:

Depress the clutch pedal.

Move range-shift lever (A) to neutral position.

Move reverse drive lever (B) to any travel direction (forward
or reverse).

Turn key in key switch clockwise to end position. The starting
motor must NOT turn over. If it does, see your John Deere™ dealer
immediately.

Repeat the test in the other direction of travel.
Tractors with PowrQuad™ transmission:

Depress the clutch pedal.

Move range-shift lever (A) to neutral position.

Move reverse drive lever (B) to "forward" position.
-
Turn key in key switch clockwise to end position. The starting
motor must NOT turn over. If it does, see your John Deere™ dealer
immediately.

Repeat the test in the “reverse” position.
Tractors with PowrQuad™ PLUS transmission and
AutoQuad™ PLUS transmission

A - Range-Shift Lever

Move range-shift lever (A) to neutral position.

Move the reverse drive lever (B) to forward or reverse position.

Start the engine and wait 6-7 seconds. The N display must light
up.

Depress the clutch and engage any range. Gradually release the
clutch pedal. The tractor must NOT start to move. If it does, see
your John Deere™ dealer immediately.
