A - Drain Screw

B - Drain Screw

C - Fuel Tank Drain Plug

If water or sediment deposits have settled in filter, proceed as follows:

  1. Open drain screw (A) by 3/4 of a turn. Retighten the screw as soon as water and sediment deposits have drained out.

  2. Open drain screw (B) by 3/4 of a turn. Retighten the screw as soon as water and sediment deposits have drained out.

  3. Turn ignition switch to the right to the first switch position so that the fuel transfer pump is operating. Keep the pump running for approx. 40 seconds.

If water was present in fuel filter, then use a 1/2-inch square-section key to slacken off the drain plug (C) under the fuel tank by one turn. After draining off any water and sediment deposits, retighten drain plug until hand-tight.
