Draft Links, Category 3N — Adjust Spreading Dimension

A - Flap Cover

G - Groove, Category 3N (Spreading Dimension 870 mm Measured between Center of Balls)

H - Lever

Drive tractor to the center of the implement. Remove ring (B) and lift flap cover (A). Use lever (H) to adjust spreading dimension for category 3N to 870 mm.

NOTE: When the quick coupler is used in Category 3N, the spreading dimension must be set to 900 mm.

Use groove (G) as a guide for adjusting the spreading dimension (870 mm, measured between center of balls).

Groove (G) should be aligned with the edge (see arrow).

Then locate lever (H) on pin (C), put down flap cover (A) and secure with ring (B). Finally, adjust spacer (D).

IMPORTANT: The spreading dimension must be large enough to prevent the draft links (E) from getting caught on sway blocks (F). If not, mechanical damage may occur.

IMPORTANT: If conversion from category 3 to category 3N is being performed, the position of the wear plates must be changed from inside to outside. See "Telescopic Draft Links - Convert Category 3 and 3N" on the following pages.
