AutoPowr™/IVT™ — Controls
The AutoPowr™/IVT™ transmission provides infinitely
variable ground speeds in forward travel from 50 meters per hour (164
feet per hour) to 50 km/h (31 mph). In reverse travel, the transmission
provides infinitely variable ground speeds from 50 meters per hour
(164 feet per hour) to 30 km/h (18.6 mph). Maximum speeds may vary
slightly due to tire size.
Reverse Drive Lever

LX1057110-UN-23JUL13
A — Neutral Position
Disengages park lock allowing tractor to roll, but does not transmit
power to the wheels. N appears on the instrument panel.
B — Forward Travel
In
this position, power is transmitted to the wheels to allow forward
travel. F appears on the instrument panel.
C — Power Zero
Hand-held
zero position is used to temporarily hold tractor stationary on a
relatively flat surface.
D — Reverse Travel
In
this position, power is transmitted to the wheels to allow reverse
travel. R appears on the instrument panel.
E — Park
In this position,
park lock is applied to hold the tractor stationary and prevent it
from rolling away. P appears on the instrument panel.
NOTE: Engaging the park lock also activates the trailer brake.
F — Center Park Position
To drive the tractor, move the lever to forward (B) or reverse
(D). If the lever is moved from forward or reverse to center park
(F) the tractor will continue to roll, but will not be braked by the
transmission. When stationary, the transmission goes to Power Zero mode. Ten seconds after the tractor
stops rolling, park will automatically engage. If the lever is moved
from Forward or Reverse directly to Park position (E), the tractor
will brake to a stop using the transmission. Park will then engage.
Remember to actuate the brake pedals as well when driving downhill.
If the lever is moved from Forward or Reverse to the Power Zero position (C), the transmission brakes
the tractor until it is stationary. When the tractor is stationary,
power remains at the transmission. For Power Zero, the lever must be held firmly in this position. If the lever is
released from the Power Zero position, it
will automatically go to the center park position (F).
When the tractor is stopped, move the lever back to the corner
park position (E). If the lever is moved to neutral (A), the direction
clutches are opened and there will be no power in the transmission.
The tractor can roll away.
Speed Control Lever

LX1057166-UN-23SEP13
A - Speed Control Lever
B - Speed Wheel (for setting maximum speed)
1 - Speed Range 1
2 - Speed Range 2
Travel speed is regulated using the speed control lever. Two
speed bands are available.
Speed band 1 allows a maximum forward speed setting of 20 km/h
(12.4 mph). Speed range 2 allows a maximum forward speed of 40 km/h
(25 mph) or 50 km/h (31 mph).
NOTE: The maximum speed depends on the tire size. See also Section
65.
The maximum speed in band 1 is always the minimum speed in band
2. This means that when changing the band, there is no change in speed.
The maximum speed in a speed band is adjusted using speed wheel
(B). See AutoPowr™/IVT™ Settings on the following pages for details.
The maximum speed of a band is reached with the engine at full
throttle and the speed control lever at the end of its travel in the
speed band (provided tire dimensions match the set values precisely).
If the accelerator pedal is not at the end of its travel, the tractor
will move at a corresponding speed (not proportional). If the speed
control lever is not at the end of its travel in a speed band, the
tractor will similarly operate at a corresponding speed.
Speed wheel (B) does not have a stop and can be infinitely adjusted. It makes a change in relation to the
previous setting. If the maximum speed setting is changed with speed
wheel (B) while the tractor is moving, the change is always based
on the last setting. Turning the speed wheel will directly increase
or decrease the last maximum speed setting. Any changes are stored
in the tractor's electronics.
Accelerator pedal and hand throttle

LX1057165-UN-14OCT13
A - Hand Throttle
B - FieldCruise™ Limiting the Engine Speed, ON/OFF
C - Accelerator Pedal, Save/Delete Speed
D - ECO Mode, Minimum Engine Speed ECO ON or ECO OFF
NOTE: In manual mode, automatic engine speed reduction at low
loads is not active.
Speed is controlled via accelerator pedal and hand throttle.
The signal used for control is always the signal that commands the
higher engine speed.
Engine rpm can be set to a specific speed using the hand throttle.
Button (C) allows the accelerator pedal position to be saved.
To save accelerator pedal position, proceed as follows:
-
Set desired pedal position.
-
Press button (C), then release.
-
Release the pedal within two seconds. If a pedal position is
stored, the indicator light in button (C) lights up.
NOTE: Pedal position cannot be saved if one of the following
applies:
-
Reverse drive lever in park position
-
Reverse drive lever in neutral
-
Reverse drive lever between forward and reverse (Power Zero)
-
Clutch pedal depressed
To delete a saved position, do one of the following:
-
Press button (C) again
-
Apply brake
-
Move the reverse drive lever to park position
-
Set the accelerator pedal position to the saved position once
again
Once the saved position has been deleted, indicator light in
button (C) goes out.
If the accelerator pedal or hand throttle is moved to command
a higher engine speed, engine speed increases. When load-dependent
engine speed reduction is active, once the set travel speed has been
reached, engine speed is adjusted automatically as required.
Button (D) allows the operator to toggle between the minimum
engine speeds ECO ON and ECO OFF.
NOTE: Button (D) is active in custom mode only.
If the reverse drive lever is in forward or reverse, the tractor
can be accelerated up to the set speed using the accelerator pedal
or hand throttle. Travel speed at any particular time depends directly
on the position of the accelerator pedal or hand throttle. Engine
speed is directly affected by the position of the accelerator pedal
only in Manual mode.
Whenever the accelerator or the hand throttle is actuated, the
values set in the CommandCenter™ for automatic and for FieldCruise™
(limiting the engine speed) are taken into account. This prevents
the values set for example for FieldCruise™ from being exceeded
even at full throttle. In AUTO mode, the engine turns only as fast
as needed, even at full throttle. As long as the accelerator and the
hand throttle are actuated at full throttle at the same time, the
load dependent limitation of the engine speed is not active.
FieldCruise™ can be switched on and off directly using
button (B).
Brake Pedals

LX1024390-UN-03JUL00
A - Brake Pedals
If both brake pedals are depressed
when driving the tractor, the speed will be reduced or the tractor
stops. Thanks to the automatic clutch function, there is no need to
depress the clutch pedal when braking.
When the brakes are released again, the tractor automatically
accelerates up to the speed currently commanded by the accelerator
pedal or hand throttle.
The higher the engine speed, the greater is the pedal effort
required to stop the tractor.
Clutch Pedal
Thanks to the automatic clutch function, there is no need to
press the clutch pedal when stopping the tractor.
