Hydraulic Connections for Implements and Hydraulic Motors

LX234618-UN-24MAR15
A - R Port Power Beyond Pressure-free (Leak Oil)
B - R Port Power Beyond Pressure-free (Great Amounts
of Oil)
C - SCV Couplers for Extend (I-III)
D - SCV Couplers for Retract (I–III)
E - LS Connection Power Beyond (Pilot Oil)
F - P Port Power Beyond
G - Coupler for Hydraulic Trailer Brake
IMPORTANT: With implements equipped with a Load Sensing hydraulic
system, it is necessary to use the corresponding connections of the
booster valve (Power Beyond).
Connecting/operating hydraulic motors
Select the smallest hydraulic motor recommended for this function.
This practice will reduce power loss and heating of hydraulic oil,
especially if other functions force pump to operate at high pressure.
Operating hydraulic motors
-
Ensure all in-line control valves are wide open.
-
Ensure in-line orifices are removed.
-
Close bleed screws (if equipped).
Hydraulic connections on tractors without additional
return port or Power Beyond valve:
-
Connect pressure line to SCV Retract Coupler (D).
-
Connect return line to SCV Extend Coupler (C).
-
Use ”special return hose tip” to prevent checking
of return line and back flow if inadvertently reversed.
Hydraulic connections on tractors with pressure-free
return port:
-
Connect pressure line to SCV Retract Coupler (D).
-
Connect return line to Return Coupler (B).
-
Special return hose tip is not required, but can be used.
Activate hydraulic motor by moving lever forward to click position
for retract. Adjust motor speed with SCV flow control. This will ensure
pump only operates at pressure required.
Shut off hydraulic motor by moving lever to float. This protects
motor from potential seal damage due to over pressure if returning
to SCV, or cavitation if using hydraulic motor return couplers.
Hydraulic connections on tractors with Power Beyond
valve
Connection via the Power Beyond valve requires a separate flow
control valve:
-
Connect hydraulic motor pressure line to pressure port (F).
-
Connect hydraulic motor return line to return port (B).
-
Connect LS pilot line to port (E).
Power Beyond functions through the Power Beyond valve require
a pilot signal to regulate pump pressure, therefore an LS pilot oil
line is used. Certain equipment may require modification. Special
hydraulic couplings can be obtained from your authorized dealer.
Hydraulic connections on hydraulic motors with case
drain
Some hydraulic motors have a separate case drain line for internal
leakage. Connect to return port (A) to direct oil to sump.
