For the engine to operate properly, it is also essential to keep the area surrounding the engine clean. Remove accumulations of trash from the area surrounding the engine.

For efficient cooling and air-conditioning, it is also essential to keep the outside of the radiator and condenser clean.

Remove cover (A) at both sides.

Pull screens (B) and (C) (if equipped) to the side and remove trash.

To facilitate cleaning, pull combined cooler (D) to the side. Remove trash from radiator (F), transmission oil cooler (E) and combined cooler (D).

When re-installing the combined cooler, make sure that it is positioned centrally in relation to the radiator and engages in the guide rails properly.

Re-install screens of combined cooler and radiator.

Install covers (A).

Use a mirror to check the bimetallic spring (G) of the viscous fan for dirt, and clean if necessary. See "Cooling System - Viscous Fan, Cleaning the Bimetallic Spring" in "Service - As Required" Section.
