Battery Disconnect System (If Equipped)

The battery disconnect system switches the on-board voltage on or off automatically.

On-board voltage can be switched on by:

  • opening the door,

  • switching on the lighting system, or

  • switching on the hazard warning lights, or

  • switching on the ignition with the key switch.

NOTE: If the on-board voltage has been switched on and no other electrical consumers have been switched on, the on-board voltage will be disconnected automatically after 5 minutes.

After the ignition is switched off (key switch in position (A)), the on-board voltage is switched off automatically after 4 minutes at the latest when the door is closed.
